After School Tutoring

After school tutoring is every Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30 in the Library and open to all KMS students. Students must bring work, sign in and stay the entire time.  We now have free transportation for afterschool tutoring, buses will come at 4:30 and drop off students at their regular stop.

All students attending Koogler next year will be getting a tentative copy of their schedule before school lets out. This is subject to change based on special education needs, teacher hiring and elective availability.


Report cards will be mailed home the first week of June.


All 8th graders will be taking a trip to Aztec High School on Monday 5/22. The schedule will be as follows:

-8th graders go to 1st hour

-dismissed by class at about 8:15 to busses

-8:30am start tours from the Gym

-9:45am Dr. Hall’s presentation in the MPR

-10:25am  dismiss to lunch (outdoor burger fry with Bob with 9th-12th grade) 8th grade stays on campus.

-10:45am have clubs and organizations set up tables in the lawn / commons.

               -11:16am   8th grade returns to the MPR for last words from AHS and loading the bus

              -11:30 return to Koogler, go to 1st hour

          -11:56 go to TUT

          -12:44 go to 7th hour


Imagine Concert 8:15 am at Fred Cook Stadium on Tuesday 5/23


Field Day is Tuesday 5/23. Students should dress for outdoor activities and wear sunscreen.


Poetry Slam Tuesday 5/23 at 1:30 in the wood gym.


PTA Meeting 6:30 at Aztec Microtel, Babysitting available


8th grade Dance  Wednesday 5/24 3:30-5:30, Free to All 8th Graders, Semi-Formal in the Wood Gym


8th Grade Awards Wednesday 5/24 6pm in the Wood Gym


6th Grade Picnic at Koogler Thursday 5/25


7th Grade Picnic at Florence Park (Students will walk together from Koogler) Thursday 5/25


Last Day Assembly 9 am Friday 5/26 in Wood Gym


Early Release 11 :20 am on Friday 5/25


Summer School Starts on Monday 6/5 8 am at AHS



Koogler Middle School's Library will have PowerSchool parent portal access codes available for parents to pick up, in person. This access code will allow you to view your student’s grades and attendance information via the internet. These access codes will need to be picked up, in person, from the librarian (Round 300 Bldg) or the KMS Technology Aide. Library office Hours are from 8:00 am – 3:45 pm Tuesdays -Thursdays and Mondays 8:00 am – 2:15 pm. If you click on the links below you can: Sign In when setup, view a how to video and download a how to set of directions. For more information you can call 1-505-334-6102 ext. 1623 Library or 1-505-334-6102 ext. 1612 for the KMS Technology Aid.

PowerSchool Parent Portal

  1. Go to the Koogler Library to pick up your parent portal access code.
  2. Go to www.cvkoogler.org and scroll about half way down the page and click on the icon
  3. Click on the Create Account tab.
  4. Click on the blue button that says Create Account.
  5. Fill out the information for Parent Account Detail and Link Students to Account and click Enter at the bottom of the page

What Can I See on PowerSchool?

Anything BLUE is an active link that can be clicked to give you more information



You can now see all of the grades your student has in his/her classes.If you click on the BLUE grade or percentage, you can see all assignments in that class.At the bottom of that page there is a key that will inform you if the assignment is late, missing or something else.


You can see all absences and tardies to each class.The absence number is in BLUE so if you click on the number, you will see the dates your child was absent in that class.


If you click on the name of the teacher that is in BLUE, you can email that teacher to ask any questions or address any concerns that you might have.


On the left hand side of the screen you will see a tab that says notification.Click on that to set any email notification you want for grades, attendance, fines or many other options.
